Hamburg (dpa / lno) - Two retail chains in Hamburg have failed in court with their desire to open their shops despite contrary Corona requirements.

The administrative court rejected the urgent requests of the chains with a so-called mixed range on Tuesday, as the court announced.

You can appeal against the decisions to the Hamburg Higher Administrative Court.

The administrative court is convinced that the opening ban does not violate fundamental rights in this specific case.

The possibility that the two chains sell their range with appropriate hygiene concepts is a milder, but not equally suitable means.

The threat to the health of the population from the corona pandemic is still very high.

The fact that the Robert Koch Institute considers the individual risk of infection emanating from the retail trade as low, taking into account the state of scientific knowledge, does nothing to change that.

In view of the increasing number of infections and the increased occurrence of corona mutants, this does not yet lead to the existing regulation being disproportionate.
