Celle (dpa / lni) - Lower Saxony begins today, Tuesday, with the delivery of five million corona protective masks for teachers.
The masks are distributed across the districts and cities by the State Office for Fire and Disaster Protection in Celle.
They should help to make a possible expansion of face-to-face operations in schools safer.
Education Minister Grant Hendrik Tonne (SPD), who will be present at the start of delivery in Celle, would like to bring more classes back to schools from distance learning in alternating lessons before the Easter holidays.
The infection numbers are currently at an elevated level.
Tonne wants to decide on how to proceed at the schools after the federal-state consultations on the corona course this Wednesday.
