Kuwait's new cabinet established

Xinhua News Agency, Kuwait City, March 2 (Reporter Wang Wei and Nie Yunpeng) The Emir Nawaf of Kuwait issued a decree on the evening of the 2nd to form a new cabinet with Sabah Khalid as prime minister.

According to a report by the Science News Agency on the 2nd, Nawaf approved the list of cabinet members submitted by Sabah Khalid on the same day.

Sabah Khalid said that the new cabinet will be united, work in concert with the National Assembly, and focus on solving corruption issues for the benefit of the general public.

The new cabinet consists of 15 members, and more than half of the members have not changed.

Among them, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense is still served by Hamad Jaber Ali Al-Sabah, and the Minister of Foreign Affairs is still served by Ahmed Nasser Mohamed Al-Sabah. He also serves as the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs.

The previous cabinet led by Sabah Khalid took office on December 14 last year and submitted a collective resignation on January 13 this year.

The reason for his resignation was that three members of Congress issued questions to the Prime Minister, accusing him of violating constitutional provisions when forming the cabinet, failing to consider the composition and development trend of the new National Assembly, and failing to submit its work plan to the parliament after the successful formation of the cabinet.

Nawaf approved the collective resignation of the cabinet on January 18, and reappointed Sabah Khalid as prime minister on January 24, responsible for the formation of a new cabinet.
