) agreed to give money for the purchase of stun guns, gas canisters, walkie-talkies, megaphones, microphones, and other items and weapons intended to commit a crime,” the Investigative Committee of Belarus said.

The law enforcement agencies of the country managed to suppress the action, the main persons involved were detained from 6 to 8 August 2020.

“The video recording of the meeting and the results of expert research were added to the materials of the criminal case.

According to the conclusion of the phonoscopic examination, the votes on the video belong to the accused, the ex-candidate and her proxies, ”the department added.

The detainees were charged under part 1 of article 13, part 2 of article 293 (preparation for mass riots) and part 1 of article 13, part 1 of article 292 (preparation for the seizure of buildings and structures) of the Criminal Code of Belarus, they are arrested.

In December 2020, the Prosecutor General's Office of Belarus opened criminal cases against Tikhanovskaya and a number of other oppositionists on the creation of an extremist group.

Tikhanovskaya was put on the interstate wanted list in the case of calls for the overthrow of the constitutional order.
