Bremen (dpa / lni) - Despite 22 Bundesliga games over 90 minutes, Werder Bremen's defender Marco Friedl is still not one hundred percent satisfied with his performance.

"There are very few games where I say that everything went well," said the Austrian on Tuesday in an online media panel.

"For me, the main thing is to keep the fluctuations to a minimum," said the 22-year-old.

Friedl is one of the regular players in the team of coach Florian Kohfeldt.

So far, he has not missed a single minute in the Bundesliga this season.

«I didn't necessarily expect it before the season started.

But it just helps me personally that I can develop myself further, ”emphasized Friedl.

The constant performance also made other clubs aware of him.

Among other things, there was talk in the media of an interest of FC Bayern Munich, where Friedl was under contract before his time at the Weser.

«I feel very comfortable here.

We and I still have big goals.

We'll see what happens in the future, ”said the defensive player, evading a possible move in the summer.

Friedl could draw further attention to himself at the EM in the summer.

After his international debut in October last year, the next international matches with Austria are due at the end of March.

«Currently I have no contact with national coach Franco Foda.

What is important is the performance in the club.

We'll see everything else, »Friedl continued.
