Dubai Islamic cancels permits for Ramadan tents for the year 2021

The Department of Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities in Dubai has canceled all permits for Ramadan tents and Iftar travel for the year 2021 that are held annually during the month of Ramadan, in response to the changes and in compliance with the instructions and directives for the precautionary measures issued by the concerned authorities.

Ahmed Darwish Al Muhairi, Executive Director of the Charitable Work Sector, confirmed that the decision to stop permits for Ramadan tents, councils and breakfast tables comes within the department's continuous efforts and systematic plans to meet the current conditions efficiently and effectively and in response to the preventive measures and measures to address this global pandemic.

He said that the department places health and safety among its priorities, pointing out that everything necessary will be taken in order for the blessed month of Ramadan to pass in health and safety for everyone.


He indicated that in the event of a desire to participate in the distribution of breakfast meals during the blessed month of Ramadan, it is necessary to go to charitable societies and institutions approved and licensed by the department, stressing that adherence to the directives is a necessity and a societal responsibility to ensure public health and safety.

For his part, Muhammad Musabbah Dahi, Director of the Charitable Institutions Department, confirmed that the coordination process with all accredited charities is working continuously to enhance the culture of charitable work, which will enhance confidence between the donors, including institutions and individuals, and between charities and the beneficiaries of donations, in order to ensure that donations reach their beneficiaries in the context of intensifying Efforts and contributions to protect society.

He explained that the department is full of initiatives based on modern technical means, such as the "Hope Meals" initiative, which is an innovative digital initiative compared to initiatives to feed the fasting or the oppressed by traditional means to serve charitable work at the level of the Emirate of Dubai, which will advance the wheel of humanitarian work through the precautionary methods adopted by the state.
