Munich (dpa) - Christoph Maria Herbst is currently in the Canary Islands - but it doesn't feel like a vacation, despite the sun and the beach.

Because the actor is shooting the comedy “The Last Name” by Sönke Wortmann there, under Corona conditions.

"We are in a kind of quarantine, we cannot jump into the sea or learn to dive or paraglide - that is contractually not allowed," said the 55-year-old from the German press agency in Munich.

«It's not wellness that we're doing here.

We're making a film. "

Like everyone else on the film set, Herbst regularly does a corona test.

The actor is still happy to escape the sometimes quite cool weather in Germany for a few weeks.

"To be honest, it still feels a bit like wellness - for the soul."

"The surname" is the continuation of the social comedy "The first name" in which a couple, to the horror of their relatives and friends, tries to name their son Adolf.

Florian David Fitz, Caroline Peters, Janina Uhse, Justus von Dohnányi and Iris Berben also stand in front of the camera for the Constantin Film film in Munich.
