The basketball players of Villeurbanne cracked in the second half against the Lithuanians of Zalgiris Kaunas losing 85 to 75 Tuesday, on behalf of the 27th day of the Euroleague, and give way in the race for the play-offs.
This setback, the first after a very good series of six consecutive wins, blocks Asvel with 12 wins (for 15 losses), seven games from the end of the regular season.
TJ Parker players have three wins less than the eighth and final qualifying place for the play-offs, occupied by Fenerbahçe.
The Stambouliotes (15 wins / 11 losses) move to Milan on Wednesday night, before going to the Astroballe in Villeurbanne on Friday night for a crucial match in the race for eighth place and the last ticket to the quarter-finals of the queen of European basketball competition.
