Kiel (dpa / lno) - The seven-day incidence in Schleswig-Holstein has fallen well below the threshold of 50.

On Tuesday, 46.4 new infections per 100,000 population were reported within the past seven days.

This emerges from data published by the Ministry of Health in Kiel (data status: March 2nd, 9:11 pm).

On Monday the value was 49.7 - and on Tuesday a week ago it was 50.0.

At the last federal-state meeting, a maximum of 35 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants in seven days was set as the target for the next opening steps.

On Wednesday, the prime ministers of the federal states will meet the Federal Chancellor again to discuss the further strategy in the corona crisis.

187 new corona infections were reported on Tuesday - a week earlier there were 262 confirmed new infections.

The number of corona deaths rose by 4 to 1309 on Tuesday. 284 patients were treated in hospitals in Schleswig-Holstein.

Intensive care treatment needed 75 people, 59 with ventilation.
