Potsdam (dpa / bb) - One week after primary schools in Brandenburg, hairdressers, garden markets and flower shops can also reopen after the corona lockdown, subject to conditions.

Hardware stores are generally closed to non-commercial customers, but could offer their garden products to all customers.

In the garden specialty stores and florists' shops, however, most of the sales areas have to be outdoors.

The offers in closed rooms must be less than 50 percent of the total sales area.

Customers are required to wear a medical mask and a face-to-face mask is also required for staff.

This also applies to the hairdressing salons.

There, the hairdressers also have to record customer data so that contacts can be traced.

The city of Potsdam is offering free quick tests for its citizens from Monday.

For an initial two weeks, the Potsdam-based company could be tested for the corona virus in at least eight pharmacies and four test centers, the city administration said.

The city is reacting to the postponement of the introduction of free rapid tests originally announced by Federal Health Minister Jens Spahn (CDU) for Monday.
