Dresden (dpa / sn) - Saxony's Prime Minister Michael Kretschmer (CDU) has admitted errors in coping with the Corona crisis in the Free State.
"We made a mistake with the experience from spring 2020," he said in an interview with the "Leipziger Volkszeitung" (Tuesday) on the occasion of the anniversary of the first corona infection in Saxony (March 2, 2020).
“At that time the nursing homes were closed and people suffered greatly from loneliness.
We definitely didn't want to repeat that », said the head of government.
"After it became clear how vicious the virus was in the homes, we changed that," said Kretschmer.
“But the entry ban and the obligation to perform rapid tests came too late.
