Vorharz (dpa / sa) - In a collision between two cars on federal highway 79 near Harsleben in the Harz district, a woman died on Monday.
Previously, one of the drivers wanted to overtake another car, said the police in Hohenwarsleben.
Another car came towards him in the opposite lane that could no longer evade.
Both collided.
A third car had also driven into the accident site.
All three drivers suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospitals.
The passenger of the oncoming car died at the scene of the accident.
