China News Agency, Paris, March 1 (Reporter Li Yang) French President Macron revealed on the 1st local time that France’s current epidemic control measures in response to the new crown pneumonia epidemic will still be maintained for 4 to 6 weeks.

This is the first time Macron has given an official timetable in recent weeks, which has attracted attention from the outside world.

Macron inspected in the Seine-Saint-Denis department in the Paris region that day. When he was communicating with people participating in the youth training program, someone asked whether he could delay the start of the curfew by one hour and said that he would observe it from 6 p.m. The curfew can be difficult to stay at home.

Macron responded to this by saying that before possible deregulation, it is necessary for people to "persist on for another 4 to 6 weeks", thus indicating that the current epidemic prevention and control measures, including curfews, will continue to be maintained within 4 to 6 weeks.

The French Presidential Palace later added that in 4 to 6 weeks, the authorities will vaccinate more French people with the new crown vaccine, which will have an impact on the trend of the epidemic.

The current curfew is still valid throughout the law, and the daily curfew is still 12 hours, from 6 pm to 6 am the next day.

Many cities in the Alpes-Maritimes province and the surrounding areas of Dunkirk in the north due to the severe epidemic, in addition to curfews, they have to implement weekend "lockdowns".

French officials have announced that they will strengthen surveillance of 20 provinces with severe epidemics and may implement further control measures in these provinces.

French Prime Minister Castel said that if the epidemic situation in these provinces continues to worsen, measures such as "closing the city" over the weekend may be taken from the 6th onwards.

Paris Mayor Hidalgo held a meeting with the district mayors of Paris on the 1st to coordinate the response to the epidemic. She held a press conference after the meeting and expressed her opposition to the implementation of the weekend "closure".

Hidalgo called for strengthening preventive measures, especially the control of indoor gathering activities.

In addition, French officials decided on the 1st to relax the use of AstraZeneca vaccine.

French Minister of Health Villin said that people 65 to 74 years old in France with basic diseases can get AstraZeneca vaccine; people over 75 years old still only get Pfizer vaccine and Modena vaccine.

The latest official epidemic data shows that France has a total of 3,760,671 confirmed cases of new coronary pneumonia on the 1st, and a total of 86,803 deaths.

The number of inpatients with the new crown in France is now 24,430, and the number of severe patients is now 3544.
