Former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon has talked about the possibility of the royal contracting Egyptian star Mohamed Salah, the top scorer of the Liverpool team, the English Premier League title holder.

Calderon said - in an interview with an Egyptian television channel - yesterday, Sunday, that Mohamed Salah is a great player and a great goal-scorer, and he helped Liverpool with all he had, and contributed to the Reds winning many local and European championships.

He added, "I think that Liverpool will not give up with goodness, and the problem lies in the size and value of the Egyptian star that Liverpool will ask for if he decides to leave, because he is a very important player for the English team."

Calderon indicated that Salah is wanted at Real Madrid, but the huge sums that will be requested may hinder such a deal, pointing out that a player like Salah will be a successful deal for any team in Europe, whether at Real Madrid or in any other club.

Salah is top scorer in the Premier League with 17 goals, two goals behind Manchester United's Bruno Fernandez.

Salah had opened the door several weeks ago to leave the Reds, in a press statement in which he did not rule out moving to one of the Spanish League giants, which caused the Liverpool fans to attack him.
