Stuttgart (dpa / lsw) - Prime Minister Winfried Kretschmann (Greens) would, in his own words, be vaccinated against the corona virus with the vaccine from the manufacturer Astrazeneca.

It was a highly effective vaccine that was wrongly discussed, said the head of government on Monday evening during the TV duel between the SWR and Education Minister Susanne Eisenmann (CDU) on the state election.

He also wants to be vaccinated publicly, but only when it's his turn.

Eisenmann also underlined the effectiveness of the Astrazeneca vaccine in the duel.

However, she drew attention to the fact that this is currently only given to people between the ages of 18 and 64 in Germany - there is a lack of data on the effect on older people.

Then Kretschmann would have to choose a different vaccine, she said, referring to the age of the 72-year-old.

And she allowed herself another tip: Due to her age, she would first watch the Prime Minister before she was vaccinated herself.
