China News Service, March 1, According to Reuters, an Israeli cargo ship that exploded in the Gulf of Oman has arrived at the port of Dubai and will conduct a condition assessment in a dry dock there.

The "MV Helios Ray" (MV Helios Ray), a cargo ship carrying cars, exploded during the night between February 25 and 26.

US Department of Defense officials said several holes were blown out on both sides of the hull.

The Israeli Defense Minister stated on February 27 that a preliminary assessment found that "Iran is responsible for this explosion."

Iranian officials did not immediately comment.

Currently, the ship is moored in Port Rashid, Dubai.

The explosion occurred in the coastal waters of Muscat, the capital of Oman.

Israeli media previously reported that a delegation from the country was heading to Dubai to investigate.

Since the then-U.S. President Trump announced his withdrawal from the Iran nuclear agreement in 2018 and re-imposed sanctions on Iran, tensions in the Gulf region have increased.

Since then, the United States has accused Iran of "launching multiple attacks on ships in Gulf waters, including two Saudi oil tankers."

Iran denies this.
