Microsoft billionaire founder Bill Gates shared his opinion on smartphone operating systems to announce his bias for Android.

According to 9to5Google, which specializes in Android news, Gates mentioned in a recent audio interview on the Clubhouse app that he favored Android for smartphones.

Gates told journalist Andrew Ross Sorkin and Paul Davidson, co-founder of the "Clubhouse" app, that he hadn't changed his mind, which he had made in the past when he favored Android.

Gates said he keeps the iPhone on hand in case he wants to use it for any reason (such as using the Clubhouse app for iPhones only), but the device approved for daily use is Android.

And "Club House" is an application that allows you to access voice conversations only, as it consists of a huge series of conversations similar to podcasts, and at the present time the application is limited to iPhones, and accessing it requires an invitation from a previous user.

Gates prefers the more open nature of Android, as it is more "flexible" about how programs interact with the operating system.

Gates told Sorkin, "I actually use an Android phone, because I want to keep track of everything. I often deal with iPhones, but the device that I always carry is Android."

He added that "some manufacturers of the Android system install Microsoft programs in advance. They are more flexible with regard to how the program communicates with the operating system, so I got used to this in the end."

Gates admitted in 2019 that the way he dealt with Microsoft's mobile division was "the biggest mistake," and it ended up letting Google turn Android into the iPhone's only true competitor.

Microsoft lost a $ 400 billion market at the time, which Gates deeply regrets, yet since 2017 he has certified an Android phone.

Davidson indicated during the interview that the Android version of "Clubhouse" may be on the way to the hands of users who prefer Android such as Gates.

He described it as a "major feature", which could mean that the "Clubhouse", which is only designated for iPhone users, may soon expand.
