01 March 2021 Poste Italiane has added a new way to request the Spid-enabled PosteID digital identity, the Public Digital Identity System that allows you to easily, quickly and securely access Public Administration services.



Services ranging from the pre-filled 730 form to the state cashback, from your social security situation to the electronic health record.

To get Spid from home or on the move, simply download the free PosteID app on your smartphone and follow the instructions: citizens in possession of an Italian passport or an Electronic Identity Card will have to take back their documents and face with their smartphone. and hold the document close to the mobile phone to allow it to be read electronically.



If you have an Electronic Identity Card and remember your PIN, the procedure is even simpler: no photos or videos are required and activation is immediate.

Furthermore, from today, citizens who are not in possession of a Passport or an Electronic Identity Card can complete the registration by making a standard SEPA transfer, coming from an Italian current account in their name or joint name, for the symbolic cost of one euro, which it will be returned at the end of the procedure.



Even those who have an active National Service Card or a digital signature can register from the posteid.poste.it portal and activate their identity in a few minutes by following the instructions.

The other ways to obtain Spid with Poste Italiane are also always available: at one of the more than 12,800 post offices in Italy, even in the smallest centers, or, for BancoPosta and Postepay customers who operate online, by accessing the posteid portal. poste.it with their credentials.



In all cases, a customer support service is available which, six days a week, can provide support for any difficulty.

The SPID is issued by Poste Italiane at no cost both if you choose to be identified at the Post Office and if you choose the other available online methods.

There are already 14.7 million Italian citizens who have applied for SPID with Poste Italiane (corresponding to over 80% of the total), including 3.7 million who live in municipalities with less than 5,000 inhabitants.



In recent months, SPID has seen a very important growth, with an average of about 200,000 new activations per week.

In 2020, there were more than 110 million accesses to accredited services by owners of the PosteID service enabled by Poste Italiane's SPID.

Poste Italiane therefore confirms its commitment alongside institutions and the Public Administration to support the country's digitization and modernization process.
