Cottbus (AP) - The footballers of the regional league Energie Cottbus have to go into quarantine because of several corona cases in the team.

As the fourth division confirmed on Monday, a total of six players tested positive.

The «Lausitzer Rundschau» had previously reported on it.

After a positive test in the family environment, a player was also infected.

The following testing of all energy actors revealed five further positive cases.

Until March 11th, all players as well as coach Dirk Lottner and the supervisors are in domestic isolation.

All infected players are symptom-free.

The resumption of training can be expected again on March 12th or 13th at the earliest.

Until then, the players would keep fit with exercises at home.

Cottbus is in eighth place after 13 games in the interrupted season of the Regionalliga Nordost.

A continuation of the season is not expected before the end of March.
