Matsmart's warehouse moves from Katrineholm and thus about 110 jobs disappear from the municipality, something that Katrineholms-Kuriren was the first to tell about.
Builds larger warehouses
According to Hanna Thofelt Lindström, the company has just completed negotiations with the unions and now plans to move from Katrineholm at the turn of the year 2021/2022.
- We will remain in full operation until then, she says.
The company plans to build a new, larger, automated warehouse in Örebro.
- Our plan is for the new warehouse to be fully operational in the first quarter of 2022.
Can keep the job
According to Hanna Thofelt Lindström, there will be an opportunity for the employees in Katrineholm to continue working at the new warehouse.
- Now we have just finished the negotiations with the union so we have not come that far, but we will now start looking at more exactly how large a workforce and what skills are needed.
We believe that we will need about as many employees at the warehouse in Örebro as in Katrineholm.
