Norderstedt (dpa / lno) - On the weekend in Norderstedt in the Segeberg district, the police pulled a drunk driver from the traffic.
The man was so drunk that he could not sleep off his intoxication in a sobering cell, as the Bad Segeberg police department announced on Monday.
An ambulance took the 43-year-old to a Hamburg clinic.
Since a breath alcohol test could not be carried out, a blood sample was taken from the man.
"A blood alcohol concentration well beyond the 3-per-thousand mark is to be expected," it said.
The man was driving on Saturday night without a driver's license because he had bought alcoholic supplies from a discounter.
