Zossen (dpa / bb) - Numerous old World War II bombs were successfully blown up on the train route between Berlin and Dresden.

A 70-kilogram bomb and 30 fragmentation bombs, each weighing one kilogram, were discovered in a forest area near Zossen (Teltow-Fläming district), the ordnance disposal service announced on Monday.

According to Deutsche Bahn, the experts were on duty until noon.

Two local trains have failed and two intercity trains have been diverted.
