ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC

General national advice from an authority is sharp, but not binding.

Everyone has a responsibility to prevent the spread of covid-19.

People over 70 are no longer covered by any special recommendations - but age is still the biggest risk factor.

Gävleborg Region

The region will probably recommend distance education in high schools and high schools after the sports holiday.

The weeks in question for a recommendation are week 10 in Gästrikland and week 11 in Hälsingland.

The region's infection control physicians have decided to introduce new, stricter recommendations following an increased spread of infection and a large spread of the British mutation of the coronavirus.

The following recommendations apply within the region until March 10:

• Always use disposable mouth guards and in situations where close contact, for an extended period of time in an indoor environment, is unavoidable.

This applies, for example, to workplaces and public transport.

• In public transport, mouth guards should be used at all times, not just during rush hour.

Mouthguards do not replace the rule of avoiding close contact and keeping your distance.

• People who are employed by or have assignments in a business where a major outbreak is taking place are recommended to avoid staying out in the community to minimize encounters with other people.

Halland Region

From 26 February, the use of disposable mouth guards is recommended in the region, as close contact with others indoors cannot be avoided.

Examples of situations where mouth protection may be relevant:

• In workplaces where, despite measures taken to prevent congestion, there are close contacts for a long time indoors.

• In public transport in case of congestion regardless of time.

From 20 January, the following recommendation applies in Halland:

• Patients in outpatient care, community care and day care are recommended to wear mouth guards when staying in care rooms and waiting rooms as well as during transport between care units.

• Visitors who are in care and nursing rooms are recommended to wear mouth guards throughout the visit.

• Staff in health and care are recommended to wear mouth guards when in care and nursing rooms.

This applies in addition to the guidelines that already exist for the use of protective equipment.

The recommendations are aimed at people born in 2004 and earlier.

Before Stockholmers go on sports holiday next week, the region presented new recommendations on Tuesday.

The following restrictions apply until March 22:

• The infection control doctor recommends upper secondary and upper secondary schools to conduct distance or distance education during week 10 to break any chains of infection after the sports holiday.

Disposable mouth guards should always be used in public transport and in indoor environments where you meet other people closely for a long time.

• Based on the new current situation, you should only travel if you have to.

Region Sörmland

Earlier this week, the region's infection control doctors presented stricter local recommendations.

There is concern that various mutations of the virus are spreading in the region.

At present, it is not known exactly who it is, apart from the British mutation.

However, there are suspicions that it may be both the Brazilian and South African variants.

The new recommendations apply until March 14:

• Refrain from unnecessary travel.

Travel as infectiously as possible during necessary trips.

• Use disposable mouth guards when traveling by public transport and when close contact, for a long time in an indoor environment, can not be avoided.

Mouthguards do not replace the rule of avoiding close contact and keeping your distance.

• Limit the number of new close contacts.

Only hang out with those you normally meet.

• Avoid places such as public transport, shopping centers and shops with a risk of congestion.

• Work from home as often as possible.

In workplaces where homework is not possible, you should avoid congestion, keep your distance and try to meet as few as possible.

• Schools should retain partial distance education during weeks 9 and 10 and not implement any planned reduction during these weeks.

If a school suffers from the spread of infection, an increase in distance education should be considered in consultation with the Infection Control Physician.

• At workplaces, 1.5-2 meters distance applies to each other both during work and breaks.

This also applies to all adults who stay in school premises.

Uppsala Region

• Always use disposable mouth guards when traveling on public transport and in other indoor environments, where you stay more than 15 minutes and can not keep a distance of two meters to other people.

Exceptions are made for school environments, where national recommendations still apply.

• The Uppsala Region also advises against travel within the county and within the country that is not necessary.

Purchases of food and necessary medicines can be carried out.

• In upper secondary school and upper secondary school in Skellefteå, distance or distance education is recommended.
