Düsseldorf (dpa / lnw) - With an extensive control campaign, the Düsseldorf police showed motorists in the speeding, poser and tuner scene the red card.
In the night from Friday to Saturday, the officers checked around 150 vehicles in the city area and punished 88 violations.
Three cars were seized for illegal alterations.
In addition, the officials stopped 245 speeders - 6 received driving bans.
The tuning and poser scene represent a highly dangerous traffic phenomenon, it said in a message.
Illegal technical changes to souped-up vehicles and unsuitable speeds endangered all road users.
The specially set up AG Tuning of the Düsseldorf police takes massive action against this.
