Berlin (dpa / bb) - Three strangers are said to have attacked a homeless person in Berlin-Britz and set his belongings on fire.

The adolescents or young men are said to have chased the 59-year-old out of his tent in the park on Gutschmidtstrasse on Friday evening, as the police announced on Saturday.

Then they are said to have hit him with sticks and kicked him.

He had therefore initially fled.

When he returned, his tent was on fire.

The alarmed fire brigade could no longer save his belongings, everything burned.

The man was injured in the attacks but refused medical treatment.

Two hours later, another homeless tent burned down nearby.

According to the police, nobody was injured.

The exact course of events was initially unclear.
