Sinsheim (dpa / lsw) - Hundreds of people took part in a funeral march for the 13-year-old boy who was killed in Sinsheim (Rhein-Neckar district) on Sunday.
Around 900 people came to the meeting in the town, said a spokesman for the Mannheim police on Sunday.
The participants moved through the Eschelbach district from the vicinity of the crime scene.
The local authorities viewed the funeral march as a rally and imposed conditions such as distance rules and a mask requirement.
The event went quietly and without incident.
The 13-year-old allegedly died after a knife attack by a 14-year-old on Wednesday.
Jealousy disputes about a 12-year-old girl are said to be behind the older man's act.
The 14-year-old denies the act.
The case had caused a sensation far beyond Sinsheim and sparked a debate about how to deal with offenders aged 14 and over.
