Saturday night's assassination attempt took place on Valhallavägen.

The victim was shot and stabbed and taken by ambulance to hospital.

During the night and Sunday, the police continued to work on the case.

Local police area chief Lars Jansson says in a press release from the police that these are "classic investigative measures".

- We have an ongoing conflict between different groups in our area, but we also have a good picture of the situation and we will continue to work with both prevention and security, he says in the press release.

"Going on each other"

Lars Jansson further believes that the police do everything they can to minimize the risk of the public being affected when there is a conflict between groups.

- In general, it is the case that you give in to each other.

But of course, there is always a risk that third parties will be affected.

Want tips from the public

The police will increase their presence in Sandviken and be on hand to answer questions from the public.

The police would also like tips.

- Of course, we are still interested in observations from the public.

Solving crimes is like building a puzzle, and each piece of the puzzle can be the one that becomes absolutely crucial, says Lars Jansson in the press release.

Anyone who has seen or heard something that may be of interest, or who has moved in the area around Valhallavägen in connection with the crime, can reach the police via telephone number 114 14.
