Ethiopian activists belonging to the Tigray region in the far north of Ethiopia circulated a video clip they said was of the execution of individuals from the region by the Ethiopian army, amid welcome and applause from citizens of the Amhara ethnicity, according to what they said.

The video shows gunmen wearing clothes similar to the Ethiopian army uniform, beating 3 civilians, before they were executed by firing squad, and the video also shows the presence of a soldier wearing a uniform similar to that of the Eritrean forces.

The Amhara are demanding Tigrayans in Western Tigray to be killed in front of them and the soldiers just did what they were demanded.

Confidential report

The American newspaper "The New York Times" previously obtained a copy of a confidential report by the US government, which was transmitted by the Turkish Anadolu Agency, which reveals that Ethiopian officials and militia members carried out a systematic ethnic cleansing operation in the Tigray region.

The American newspaper report, published two days ago, stated that the government report documents looting of homes and the displacement of villages in Tigray, where tens of thousands of people have gone missing.

The secret government report indicated that officials and fighters from the neighboring Amhara region entered Tigray to support Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed. The report indicated that "entire villages were seriously damaged or completely wiped out" as a result of "the organized use of force and intimidation."

Amnesty International said in a report more than a week ago, that "the Eritrean forces, fighting in Tigray, carried out systematic killings against hundreds of defenseless civilians in the northern city of Axum on 28 and 29 November 2020."

The report described what the Eritrean forces committed as a "massacre that may amount to a crime against humanity," as the forces fired in the streets and raided civilian homes.

It is noteworthy that, on the fourth of last November, clashes erupted in Tigray between the federal army and the "Tigray People's Liberation Front", before Addis Ababa announced on the 28th of the same month that the "law enforcement" process had ended with controlling the entire region.
