Yesterday, the Iraqi army forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces launched a large security operation to pursue the remnants of the "ISIS" organization in northeastern Diyala.

Alsumaria News quoted the commander of the mobilization operations in Diyala, Talib al-Musawi, as saying that a large-scale operation was launched at six o'clock yesterday morning, with the support of the army’s aviation, and with the participation of female workers and directorates of the Popular Mobilization Authority, indicating that “the operation was preceded by intense artillery shelling on Organization dens, to paralyze its movement ».

For its part, the Security Media Cell in the Iraqi Joint Operations Command announced yesterday that seven members of the Tribal Mobilization Forces and the Iraqi army were killed, and seven others were wounded, as a result of a car bomb explosion in Anbar Province.

The Media Cell said, in a statement, that a joint force from the 8th Infantry Brigade and the Tribal Mobilization Forces managed, during a search and search duty, to find a car bomb in the Al-Madham area of ​​Haditha district, west of Anbar.

She pointed out that the engineering effort began to dismantle the booby-trapped tire, and during processing it exploded, killing a soldier, wounding five others from the 8th Infantry Brigade, killing six from the Haditha tribal district crowd, and wounding two Hashd fighters.

Meanwhile, the spokesman for the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Major General Yahya Rasul, said yesterday that the forces of the Counter-Terrorism Service managed to arrest nine ISIS members in the governorates of Basra, Kirkuk, Anbar and Nineveh.

On the other hand, the appointed governor of Dhi Qar, Lieutenant General Abdul Ghani Al-Asadi, head of the Iraqi National Security Agency, yesterday directed to withdraw riot police from the streets and replace them with army forces in the streets of Nasiriyah, against the background of the events that the province witnessed in the past days
