  Kyaw Moe Tun, Myanmar’s ambassador to the United Nations, delivered a public speech at an informal meeting of the United Nations held in New York at noon on February 26, local time, condemning the Myanmar military’s takeover of the country’s power, and calling on the international community to unite "against the Myanmar military. The side will take the most powerful action to provide safety guarantee for the people of Myanmar."

  Jue Mo Tun said: "The Myanmar military should immediately return the state power to the government, to the people, restore democracy, release Win Myint and Aung San Suu Kyi, the United Nations and the international community should take immediate action."

  The UN Security Council issued an official statement on February 4, and the UN Human Rights Council passed a Myanmar-related resolution on February 12, which included condemning the Myanmar military and demanding that national leaders including Aung San Suu Kyi be released as soon as possible. , Do not use violence against demonstrators and hope to respect the wishes of the Burmese people.

  The 52-year-old Jue Motun is a senior diplomat in Myanmar. He has held diplomatic positions in Indonesia, Singapore, Switzerland, the United States and other countries. In October 2020, he became Myanmar's ambassador to the United Nations.
