The alarm about a fire in a villa in Ekeby was received at 07.17 on Saturday.
Police, rescue services and an ambulance worked on the scene and the fire has been extinguished.
Three people were in the home and a boy in his teens was taken to hospital.
His life could not be saved and he later died.
His relatives have been notified.
Investigated as general negligence
It is still unclear what caused the fire.
- According to initial information, it was some type of boiler that started to burn, says Sara Andersson, press spokesperson at the police.
The incident is classified as general negligence.
- At the moment, everything indicates that it is a tragic accident. We must start a preliminary investigation to be able to investigate the matter, we need to get an answer to what caused the fire and its outcome, says Sara Andersson.
