According to information to Smålandsposten, the suspicions against the released remain, but the evidence was not considered sufficient to request that they be detained.
While the two suspects were set free on Friday, a man in his 30s who is suspected of aggravated arson was arrested instead.
No one was seriously injured
The powerful fire on Annavägen in Växjö started in an apartment hotel one night at the end of January.
The apartment hotel was completely destroyed and residents in 23 apartments had to be evacuated.
Two people were slightly injured in the fire, but otherwise the accident did not cause any injuries.
