Flensburg (AP) - The European Handball Federation (EHF) has rejected the sharp criticism from Bundesliga club SG Flensburg-Handewitt of the defeats in the Champions League at the green table.

The clubs were informed of this before a public announcement, the EHF announced on Saturday evening.

The club had been asked to correct the statements of the club officials.

The canceled games of Flensburg against Vardar Skopje and FC Porto were each rated with 0: 2 points and 0:10 goals against SG.

Both games had been canceled because of the quarantine and entry regulations in Germany.

"I am incredibly pissed off and disappointed that we - the clubs participating in the Champions League and the Euro League - were informed about the evaluation of the failed games in the group phase of the EHF Champions League and the Euro League without any internal prior information." Managing director Dierk Schmäschke said about it.

The decision was made without involving the clubs.

“In terms of sport, we have created an outstanding starting position that is losing value due to this rating.

For me, the sporting fairness is no longer given in this case. "
