In the southwest of the country, the sun comes out early on Sunday, while parts of Westphalia and the Sauerland tend to remain cloudy for longer.

"Especially in the Münsterland, the sky loosens only hesitantly," said a meteorologist from the German Weather Service (DWD) in Essen on Saturday.

In Westphalia, temperatures between eight and ten degrees are expected on Sunday, in the Cologne Bay and in the Eifel values ​​up to twelve degrees.

According to the DWD forecast, there can be a slight ground frost on Monday night, temperatures drop to two to zero degrees.

On the first day of March, after a few cloud fields, the sun comes out again in the morning, "whereby the clouds will dissolve faster than on Sunday," said the weather expert.

The temperatures rise to up to 14 degrees.

Similar temperatures and continued sunshine can be expected until the middle of the week.
