A young woman drowned, Friday noon, after having accidentally slipped in a river, in Villefranche-sur-Saône, when she had come to picnic, reported our colleagues from
Progress.
The victim, who was picnicking with a friend, accidentally slipped, according to the regional daily.
An open investigation
The young student, in her twenties, was taken to hospital in serious condition.
She died a few hours later.
An investigation is open to determine the circumstances of the tragedy, said our colleagues.
