● Revelation of Professor Ji-Young Seok of Harvard Shaking Ramsey's Phase

I heard that Professor Ji-young Seok was preparing for a contribution to the magazine New Yorker through American professors who came across this incident.

Some people said,'The atmosphere of the incident will change', so I was wondering what the hell was there.

It was the day of shipment, but it wasn't released, so I thought I was pushed back a day, but as soon as the article came out, a message was hitting all over the academic world to check it out.

Prof. Ji-young Seok's contribution was excellent in content, worthy of his reputation.

The New Yorker article was explaining to Americans the meaning of the Harvard Professor Ramsey case, from A to Z.

The New Yorker has a strong image of a high-end magazine in the United States, and Professor Ji-Young Seok's contributions are of great significance in that the American society has also made it possible to see the full picture of this issue.

In the early days of this incident, Professor Ji-young Seok clearly revealed his perspective by posting criticism of his fellow Professor Ramsey's thesis on Twitter.

At the time, I was lucky to have an interview the day after I posted on Twitter, so I delivered it on the news.

I sent an e-mail requesting an interview, saying, "A lot of things will change with the professor's article," but I received a reply that it was possible even though it was late at night.

Prof. Seok has the title of New Yorker's guest reporter, so he jumped into the middle of this situation and has been eagerly'covering'.

I met most of my fellow scholars who were involved in this case and heard the truth about it.

The content that was not included in the article also seemed considerable.

It was of great significance personally to be able to hear the whole story of the incident that Professor Seok had grasped during the interview.

In this situation, only Professor Ji-young Seok could interview Professor Ramsey in person.

Not only in Korea but in the US media, Professor Ramsey did not speak of his true feelings, but he met with Professor Seok, a fellow at school, and conducted long interviews.

When I asked Professor Seok if he had only exchanged conversations with Professor Ramsey, he confirmed that "I informed him that he was going to cover for a New Yorker article, and I even recorded it with permission."

Ramsey's remarks here mean that'I have never said that' and are an irreversible statement.

Among the contents Professor Seok told me, I have summarized three new things I learned.

① "I don't have any Korean Contracts"…

Ramsay finally admits there is no prostitution contract.

Professor Seok explained that Ramsey had contracts for prostitution for Japanese women before the Pacific War and contracts for some Japanese prostitutes during the Pacific War.

However, Harvard history professors and five Japanese history professors from all over the world have rebutted that the contracts of Korean comfort women victims have no substance.

Scholars demanded that Ramsay find out where he saw it and wrote it.

During an interview, Professor Seok himself asked, "Where did you see the Korean women's contracts?". Surprisingly, Ramsay replied, "There is no Korean contract."

There is a little more detail in the New Yorker, Professor Ramsey said, "I wish I could find the contract, but I couldn't." "Professor Seok won't find you either."

This is a tremendous amount of content that shakes this edition.

This is because Ramsey may have written this ridiculous thesis even knowing that he has no prostitution contract.

Professor Seok assumed that the absence of a contract could not mean that there is no existence.

There may be verbal contracts, and the contract itself may have been destroyed by war.

However, Ramsay explained that he could not even provide other secondary and tertiary evidence.

It was a moment when Professor Seok's interview confirmed that Ramsey lost consciousness on the ring and became KO after historians''Fact Bombing'.

② Expressing'owner' saying that he is a 10-year-old contract prostitute...

"I made a mistake" About

Osaki, a 10-year-old Japanese girl who had to

deal

with foreign soldiers as a comfort woman victim, last time in World Report, Professor Ramsey explained in detail how he twisted the case.

The thesis itself also had a decisive flaw, but historians have pointed out that Osaki's pimp is expressed as the owner.

The expressions of being a voluntary contract prostitute and the owner conflict with each other.

Professor Ramsey emailed Professor Seok, saying he didn't know how this happened and admitted he made a mistake.

Professor Seok also analyzed that as historians' refutations were made public on the Internet, Professor Ramsey had no choice but to resign.

Since there were meticulous verification reports that were almost impossible to object to, Professor Ramsay had no choice but to raise a white flag.

③ Jiji professors also turn their backs...

Prof.

Ramsey, who was thoroughly bullied,

was well immersed in Professor Seok's article about how nervously he responded to this issue.

Since there are no friendly friends in the United States, Professor Ramsey even showed letters from far-right Korean and Japanese leaders to Professor Seok.

He also said that anti-Japanese tribal authors supported it.

Professor Seok Ji-young introduced the former Seoul National University professor Lee Young-hoon and kindly mentioned the reporter's assault case as an article.

In fact, Professor Ramsey knows that even tens of thousands of letters of support from these people will not help the situation at all, but it seems he wanted to show that he was not alone.

In the United States, professors of Berri's history at Berkeley University and Professor Weinstein of Columbia University sent letters of support to Ramsey's dissertation. It was completely changed in response to the reaction that "it is appropriate to withdraw the paper."

It seems that the face of Professor Ramsay, who has been thoroughly bullied and is thinking lonely about this situation, seems to be drawn.

● Ramsey's edition, which became a major academic affair...

"The Decision to Not Tolerate These Papers"

The chapter of economists who refute Professor Ramsey's thesis, which began with the focus of funny economists, is becoming a major event in American academia.

In three days, the number of signed scholars surpassed 2,100.

Many scholars revered in the academic world, including Professor Maskin of Harvard University, who received the Nobel Prize, Professor Roberts of Stanford University, and Professor Samuelson of Yale University, have been named themselves.

There is a diverse mix of age and gender, and not only economists but also professors majoring in other disciplines are participating.

We conducted video interviews with Professor Michael Choi from the Department of Politics at UCLA, Professor Albert Choi from the University of Michigan Law, and Professor Sue Myalon from the Department of Economics at Emory University, who played a leading role in the creation and signing of this edition.

In fact, there were a lot of other scholars, but there were cases where they said they did what they had to do and that they would not even be interviewed.

I also wanted to applaud all of them.

Beyond the one-on-one interview, it was a great personal honor to have an interview with three Korean professors from the American academic world at the same time.

This forum wasn't just hanging online.

All of the professors who play a key role have contacted fellow professors and academic leaders by phone or email, explaining the content, and persuading them to list their names.

However, even the professors who interviewed for the names of so many scholars listed in such a short time could not hide their excitement.

Prof. Albert Choi said that neither did he remember seeing so many scholars in the United States named so quickly.

Professor Albert Choi said he had been studying Law and Economics, so he often saw Ramsay in academic settings, but he didn't know he would write such a ridiculous thesis.

He criticized that this paper had no laws and no economy, and that he did not know how to publish such a paper.

Professor Mialong explained well the meaning of the yeonpanjang.

Having already been named by so many scholars, he stressed that it was not important whether a journal withdrew or not.

In this situation, he explained that if the journal does not withdraw the paper, it will have to bear the hurricane, but the numerous names that have appeared on the marketplace have more meaning that the academic community will not tolerate the use of science to justify war crimes.

Professor Michael Choi expressed his deep despair that his field of study, game theory, was used.

Even a 10-year-old girl said she had only thought of stopping Professor Ramsey who claimed she was a contract prostitute.

Professor Michael Choi's last request was impressive.

The Jews really did their best to educate the younger generation about the Holocaust, and so did not allow forces to deny it, Choi pointed out.

We also had to be deliberate in pointing out that we should thoroughly educate comfort women victims on what is historical facts.

As our academia thought about the Ramsey incident in the United States this time, I thought it was necessary to go beyond simple anti-Japanese sentiment to think about how to educate children about the war crimes committed by the Japanese colonial rule.
