A report came out that the hacking organization Lazarus, believed to have North Korea behind it, attempted a security attack against defense-related organizations in more than 10 countries around the world.



Russian security firm Kaspersky said in a report posted on its website that Lazarus, a hacking organization that has focused on financial institutions such as cryptocurrency exchanges in recent years, appears to have added the defense sector to targets from last year.



The report explained that so far, relevant organizations in more than 12 countries have been affected by the attack, and that Lazarus installed an attacking malicious code called'Sretneedle' to access the target's communication network.
