It was during Thursday evening that the woman is said to have been contacted by a person who pretended to call from Telia.
According to the police, the caller must have said that they failed to give the woman a senior discount on the bill and the woman was persuaded to log in to her bank with a bank ID.
"Individual case"
When she did, the fraudster gained control of the woman's bank accounts and was thus able to gain access to her assets.
- As far as I know, this is an individual case, says Dennis Johansson Strömberg at the police, who urges the public to never log in to their internet bank at someone else's request.
Now the police are working to track down the woman's money.
