The PP has left with all the artillery this Friday to denounce an alleged propaganda campaign of the Government of Spain in the AVE wagons.

The controversy originated when the senator for Castellón of the PP, Vicente Martínez, has published on Twitter an image that he had taken himself in which a large photograph of the Minister of Transport,

José Luis

, was seen hanging on an AVE wagon

Ábalos

, talking with the president of the Generalitat Valenciana,

Ximo Puig

.

"The new decoration of the AVE wagons", denounced Martínez.

Hence, the PP has registered a

battery of questions in the Senate

"about the cost and conditions of hiring this government advertising campaign, more typical of Chavismo than of a European Democracy", in the words of another

popular

senator

, Fernando de Rose.

In the letter to the Presidency of the Senate, the PP wonders about the dissemination of these images: "For what purpose? What public interest do these images have in the campaign? Why are there no images of politicians at the inauguration of the line?

What economic cost has it had to dress the AVE wagons with these posters?

What type of contracting and who has been contracted to publicize these photographs? ".

However, sources from the Ministry of Transport have explained that these photographs are part of the campaign for the tenth anniversary of the Madrid-Valencia high speed line.

The series of 193 images, as justified by the same sources, includes "all the political leaders,"

from Mariano Rajoy to Francisco Camps or Rita Barberá

.
