Jia Junqiang pointed out that, at the same time, in order to prevent the people from being deceived to the greatest extent, since 2020, the Ministry of Public Security has made every effort to build a prevention system, continuously strengthened communication with the Central Cyberspace Affairs Office, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and related Internet companies, and continuously improved the "fraud call notification blocking "Working mechanism" and fraudulent call interception system, improve the accuracy of early warning information, timely detect potential victims and implement measures such as telephone dissuasion and door-to-door dissuasion, which have avoided huge economic losses for the people.
Up to now, the Ministry of Public Security’s telecom fraud investigation platform has pushed a total of 12.66 million effective early warning messages, with a success rate of 98.1%, preventing 12.42 million people from being deceived, intercepting 240 million fraudulent calls and over 930 million text messages, and blocking 328,000 fraudulent apps and websites were used to avoid economic losses of 242.75 billion yuan for the masses.
