When Germany extended the lockdown again on February 10, Austria - with similar numbers of infections - had already made a different decision: the country had relaxed its measures two days earlier.

Schools, retailers, hairdressers as well as museums and animal parks have now been open again for almost three weeks.

All of this under stricter conditions - and accompanied by persistent doubts.
