Berlin (AP) - In the trial against the Berlin rapper Fler, the verdict is to be pronounced on March 3.

This was announced by the Berlin-Tiergarten district court after the pleadings by the public prosecutor and defense.

Initially, a decision by the court was expected on the same day.

Prosecutors have requested one year and ten months' imprisonment without parole for a number of offenses.

She also applied for a two-and-a-half year ban on driving.

The defense lawyer pleaded for a seven-month suspended sentence.

Since she does not see a positive prognosis, a suspended sentence is out of the question, said the prosecutor in her plea.

Fler is not ready to adhere to the rules.

Fines and suspended sentences imposed in the past did not prevent him from insulting people around him.

The proceedings concern various offenses: insulting several police officers, a neighbor, a lawyer and an influencer, driving without a driver's license, attempted coercion of a journalist and prohibited communications from legal proceedings.

The court heard in Fler's absence.

A month ago, the 38-year-old caused a stir because he left the courtroom cursing a journalist out of anger.

The defender was also unable to bring Fler, real-life Patrick Losensky, back.

The court then decided to continue hearing without the musician.

The rapper had commented on some allegations in the process - some confessed.

The defense attorney emphasized: "He is also a fictional character, that is his role."

None of the remarks he was accused of were made without cause.

However, there were "overreactions".

Several charges were brought together in the trial.

Some have now been severed.

The current proceedings are no longer about insulting the rapper Bushido.
