President Moon Jae-in visited a public health center in Mapo-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 26th to check the status of the first vaccine in Korea.



President Moon, who arrived at the Mapo-gu Public Health Center at around 8:45 am, received a report of the vaccination implementation plan from the Director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Jeong Eun-gyeong, and then checked the vaccination preparation status according to the guidance of the Mapo-gu Health Center Director Oh Sang-cheol.



President Moon followed by the first vaccination of Mapo-gu public health center, Kim Yoon-tae, director of Purme Nexon Children's Rehabilitation Hospital, to see the vaccinations.



While waiting for Director Kim's vaccination, President Moon asked Chung, "when will we take the vaccination?" and then asked, "When will we give the president a chance?"



When President Yoon-Tae Kim, the first inoculation at the Mapo-gu Health Center, entered, he asked, "It's a historical No. 1 vaccination, so if we can watch the vaccination," President Kim replied, "Yes, it's an honor."



President Moon also watched the second vaccination in Mapo-gu, the therapist Lee Jeong-seon City Western Elderly Care Center, inoculation.



President Moon had a conversation while waiting for the two people who had been vaccinated to check for abnormal symptoms in the observation room.



President Moon asked Director Kim, "You may be less worried about infecting children while treating them," and asked Chung, "when are there any prospects for a vaccine for children?"



Responding to this, Chung replied, "Currently, Pfizer vaccines are approved for use over the age of 16, and clinical trials for the remaining vaccines under the age of 18 are in progress, so I think it will be expanded in the second half."
