Police were called in for burial with at least 150 people

The maximum limit for how many mourners can go to funerals during the corona pandemic is 20 people.

The police in Södertälje have on several occasions had to rush out to the cemeteries where the number of people gathered at the burials has exceeded that limit.

In the last week alone, there have been a lot of people on three occasions.

The chaplain Marie Nygren has seen how many people often gather at the graves in Södertälje, something that can make a difference for those who work in the cemetery.

- If there are too many people, we do not want to go into the crowd and expose ourselves to the risks that may arise, she says when SVT visits Södertälje cemetery on Friday.

There have been no problems with too many people inside the churches but at burials outdoors.
