February 26, 2021 "I am happy and honored - declares Elisabetta Sgarbi, Publisher of the Nave di Teseo - to announce the publication of the novel by Quentin Tarantino, Once upon a time in Hollywood with La nave di Theseo. A true novel that precedes the film, and that the film was the inspiration, with strong differences in the characters and in the playwright development that the Italian reader will discover next June when the novel will be released worldwide.

This novel - which is a great act of love towards cinema and Italian culture - confirms in the belief that I have had since the 90s, when I published the screenplay for Pulp Fiction, that Quentin Tarantino is an extraordinary writer, as well as the director we know.

Theseus' ship has closed a deal with the William Morris agency for the novel and an essay.

At the same time as the novel is published, we will begin to re-propose his scripts, starting with Pulp Fiction, which will be released in July.

The catalog of the Nave di Teseo, which in these days celebrates the five years since the publication of his first book (Pape Satan Aleppe by Umberto Eco), therefore, after Woody Allen's autobiography, About nothing, and that of Oliver Stone , Seeking the light, is further enriched by a new voice that meets literature from cinema. "

Born in Tennessee in 1963, Quentin Tarantino moved to California at the age of 4. His love for films led him to working in a video library, and during this period he wrote the screenplays for Una vita al massimo and Assassini nati. Tarantino's directorial debut took place with Le Iene in 1992, but he received wide critical and commercial acclaim with Pulp Fiction (1994 ), for which he won an Academy Award for Best Screenplay. Among his later films Jackie Brown (1997), Kill Bill Vol.1 (2003) and Vol. 2 (2004) and Grindhouse (2007). Tarantino earned several Oscar nominations for Bastardi se

nza gloria (2009) and Django Unchained (2012), the latter of which earned him a second Oscar for Best Screenplay.

His latest films are The Hateful Eight (2015) and Once Upon a Time ... in Hollywood (2019).
