Los Angeles (AP) - Boxing legend Mike Tyson is annoyed about the announced mini-series "Iron Mike" of the streaming service Hulu.

"Unfortunately, Hulu's announcement of an unauthorized mini-series about the Tyson story without compensation does not come as a surprise," said a statement on the 54-year-old's Instagram profile.

A separate series - authorized by Tyson - is currently in the works and should be announced in the next few days.

According to media reports, "I, Tonya" director Craig Gillespie will direct the eight-part Hulu series.

Tyson accuses the group of greed and criticizes the timing of the announcement.

"Hollywood has to be more sensitive to black experiences, especially after everything that happened in 2020," says Instagram.

In the USA every year in February ("Black History Month") the history of the African American people is celebrated.
