Mannheim (dpa / lsw) - In Mannheim, a man stole two parcels from the vehicle of a delivery service and threw a stone at the parcel carrier who followed him and injured him.

According to the police on Friday, the 32-year-old delivery service employee briefly left his vehicle unobserved on Thursday morning when the stranger opened the side door and took two parcels out of the hold.

The man fled with his prey.

The driver, who had noticed the theft, went into pursuit.

While trying to run away from the other, the thief lost the two packages.

In a garden he finally picked up two cobblestones from the ground and threatened his pursuer with them.

Although the 32-year-old backed away, the thief threw both stones at him and injured his hip area.

The delivery man broke off his pursuit and the stranger escaped.
