Munich (dpa / lby) - After the fire in a sauna in the basement, a mid-terrace house in Munich-Pasing is no longer habitable.
The resident had noticed a strong smoke development in her basement on Friday afternoon, said the fire department.
When the fire brigade arrived, the sauna was burning to its full extent - and the flames could no longer be prevented from spreading to the rest of the basement.
The fire was extinguished after an hour.
The resident was not injured - but she had to move to live with her daughter because the house is uninhabitable for the time being because of the soot spreading throughout the entire house.
The fire brigade was unable to provide any information on the cause of the fire or the amount of damage.
