Heilbronn (AP) - After the fatal knife attack by a 14-year-old on a 13-year-old in Sinsheim, Federal Interior Minister Horst Seehofer (CSU) thinks little of a tightening of laws.

Seehofer called the act on Friday in Heilbronn a "shocking event".

Nevertheless, he does not want to immediately enter into the discussion of tackling the criminal liability of minors aged 12 or 13.

Instead, one must use youth welfare services with all possible prevention options much more than before.

The 14-year-old was arrested on Wednesday with a kitchen knife in hand next to the bodies of the boy and the girl in the Eschelbach district.

Last November, he seriously injured a classmate with a knife at a secondary school in Östringen (Karlsruhe district).
