Leipzig (dpa / sn) - In Leipzig, a fraudster pretended to be a police officer and stole a five-digit amount of money from an 88-year-old.
As the police announced on Friday, the stranger showed the senior a supposed badge and told him that his apartment had been broken into.
He asked about valuables.
The pensioner then handed the man a box with cash.
The alleged police officer disappeared from the apartment.
The damage is in the lower five-digit range, said the police.
